Meet the Kape Team

Meet our team of experienced independent brokers here to assist you with all your insurance needs. The Kape family has owned and operated this successful agency since 1961. Bernard Kape founded the Agency at the original and current location in South Plainfield, NJ after his career as a well-known Real Estate Broker, Equitable Life Insurance Agent, Notary Public, and life member of the National Association of Life Underwriters. The Agency was established to assist clients with their personal and business insurance needs.

Alan Kape


Alan Kape joined the office in 1983 after receiving his BA/Insurance Major from the University of Rhode Island and spending several years in commercial sales and a year with Metropolitan Life.

Judy Kape

Office Administrator

Judy Kape received a BA degree from the University of Rhode Island. She joined the company in 1990 and took over the office management and personal lines department responsibilities in 1992.

Rebecca Lanzano

Rebecca joined the office in 1992 after graduating from Katharine Gibbs School.   Assisting clients with all types of personal and business insurance needs.

Kim Albanese

Customer Service Agent

Kim has been in the insurance industry for the past 28 years and is knowledgeable in both personal & commercial insurance. Licensed in 1986 and received the Certified Insurance Service Representative designation in 1998.

Barbara Chin

Customer Service Agent

Barbara specializes in personal insurance and joined the Agency in 1998. She received her degree from the Katharine Gibbs School of Business and is also bilingual in Cantonese Chinese.
